A busy main road in Wiltshire was in need of a new surface. There were signs of underlying issues in the subbase, which might have needed to be addressed. Iron works and kerbs repairs were also required. Works had to be carried out at night over 3 shifts under a road closure.
Starting with a site meeting with our client, we established that safety to the public was paramount. We approached the job over 3 nights to maintain a safe daytime public experience. Night 1 was to be existing surface plane off and to establish condition of underlying base. Night 2 would be to repair iron work and kerbs. Night 3 would be installation of new surface, carry out white lining and remove all plant and machinery from site.
